Adjusted cap cost = negotiated price + financed fees + negative trade equity − cash down − rebates − positive trade equity. Residual value = MSRP × residual percentage. The monthly depreciation is (adjusted cap cost − residual value) ÷ lease months. The monthly rent charge is (adjusted cap cost + residual value) × money factor. The approximate equivalent annual percentage rate is money factor × 2,400.
The calculator adds tax to each base payment in monthly-tax mode; the alternative upfront-tax option estimates tax on the total base payments paid at signing. Tax treatment varies materially by location, leasing company, trade-in treatment and contract. Confirm the actual taxable base and fees in your written dealer quote.
Cash due at signing includes the cap reduction, cash-paid fees, upfront tax, refundable deposit, other upfront items and the first payment when selected. Total economic cost includes scheduled payments, cap reduction, cash-paid fees, disposition fee, upfront tax and positive trade equity used—without double-counting the first payment or counting refundable deposit as a loss. Excess-mile scenarios are shown separately.
Actual lease terms may include registration/title fees, taxes on rebates or cap reductions, insurance, maintenance, excess wear, dealer-marked-up money factors, residual buyout fees and early-termination charges. This estimate is not a dealer quote, financing approval or tax advice.
