Circle Crop Image

Drop, choose, or paste an image, drag it inside the circle, and download a transparent PNG. Zoom and framing stay simple; size, format, background, ring and project controls are available only when you need them.

Circle crop choices that matter

The core workflow is intentionally short. These notes explain the few decisions that change the result.

Crop / fill vs fit

Crop / fill is usually best for portraits because it fills the circle. Fit keeps the entire source visible and is safer for logos or artwork whose edges must not be cut off.

PNG vs JPG

Choose PNG for a true round asset with transparent corners. JPG has no alpha channel, so the square outside the circle is filled with the selected background.

Check tiny sizes

A crop that looks good at 1080 px can fail as a 32 px avatar. The light/dark previews help expose weak contrast, tiny subjects, and rings that are too thick.

Browser-local limits

Canvas-based export is browser dependent. PNG is broadly available; JPEG/WebP quality and support can vary, and metadata may not be preserved through canvas re-encoding.
