Color Temperature to RGB

Enter Kelvin to preview an approximate warm-to-cool display RGB/HEX color and compare common lighting references.

Approx RGB
Approx HSL
Kelvin
Display approximation, not spectral measurementThe algorithm maps black-body temperature to an approximate sRGB color for visualization. Real lamps, camera white balance, displays, and measured spectra can differ.

Connected color workflow

v10.74 keeps the established color/conversion widgets intact while connecting picking, palette generation, contrast review, visual preview, scales and CSS/JSON reuse. Color work stays in the browser, and recent palettes can be stored locally without an account.

Color and accessibility boundaries

HEX/RGB/HSL/HSV/OKLCH conversions are numerical color-model operations. CMYK output is an RGB-derived approximation rather than ICC-profiled print proofing. WCAG contrast ratios measure luminance contrast only and do not certify a full interface. Color-blindness previews are design simulations, not medical tests.

How to use Color Temperature to RGB

Enter a black-body color temperature from 1000K to 40000K or use a lighting preset to preview an approximate display color.

Important limit

This is an sRGB visualization approximation. It is not a spectral-power-distribution calculator, lamp measurement, ICC transform, or camera white-balance calibration.
