Mole Fraction Calculator

Enter moles for two or more components and verify that all mole fractions sum to one.

—Mole fractions sum to 1.

Multi-component mole-fraction & partial-pressure table

Analyze an entire mixture instead of one component at a time. Enter moles directly or derive moles from mass and molar mass, then optionally apply Dalton's law with a total pressure.

Mole fractions should sum to one

Each component’s mole fraction is its amount in moles divided by total moles. The fractions are dimensionless and normally add to 1, or 100% when expressed as mole percent. Use moles rather than grams unless masses have first been converted using molar mass.
