If the input is 12.345 and you round to two decimal places using ordinary nearest-value rounding, the display should be about 12.35. Keep the unrounded source when later calculations need more precision; display rounding should usually happen at the end.

Rule: Round to the selected decimal place using the browser number operation shown by the tool. Do not confuse display rounding with changing the precision of an underlying measurement. For a final check, estimate the expected size of the answer before copying it, keep units consistent, and round only the displayed result rather than intermediate values. Re-enter one simple case by hand when possible; a result with the wrong sign or order of magnitude usually points to an input or reference-base mistake.
