ReadyUUIDv5 hashes namespace bytes + name bytes with SHA-1 for deterministic identification. It is not a password-hashing or security-token primitive.

Exact UUIDv5 name bytes

RFC 9562 UUIDv5 hashes the namespace UUID bytes followed by the exact name octets. v268 does not silently trim, lowercase, or normalize the name; the official DNS + www.example.com vector is available as a one-click regression example.

UUIDs are 128-bit values. Version meaning is interpreted only inside the appropriate variant, and representation conversion never changes the underlying 16 bytes.
