Color and accessibility boundaries

HEX/RGB/HSL/HSV/OKLCH conversions are numerical color-model operations. CMYK output is an RGB-derived approximation rather than ICC-profiled print proofing. WCAG contrast ratios measure luminance contrast only and do not certify a full interface. Color-blindness previews are design simulations, not medical tests.

Using CMYK and HEX together

CMYK to RGB is profile-dependent in print work

A simple mathematical conversion is useful for screen approximation, but professional CMYK output depends on the printer, ink, paper, and ICC profile. Do not use an unprofiled HEX value as proof of a press match.

Check contrast after converting

A color that looks acceptable as a swatch may not provide readable text contrast. Use the white/black contrast evidence already shown and verify the final foreground/background pair in the actual interface.

Keep source CMYK values with the HEX result

If the color will return to print, preserve the original C/M/Y/K percentages. Converting to RGB/HEX and later back to CMYK can produce a different separation because the screen color space cannot uniquely encode every print condition.

Gamut clipping can hide print differences

Some CMYK colors map to similar screen RGB values even though they separate differently on press, and some vivid RGB colors have no direct CMYK equivalent. When brand color tolerance matters, compare a profile-managed proof or printer specification rather than treating a single HEX approximation as the master color definition.
