Practical guide and verification
Use placeholder text only for layout work
Lorem ipsum is useful for testing density, line length and component rhythm, but it cannot reveal whether real headings, labels and calls to action are understandable. Replace it before accessibility, SEO or content review.
Keep generated HTML structurally valid
When paragraphs, headings or lists are generated as markup, inspect the raw HTML and rendered preview together. A browser can visually recover from malformed markup that would still be undesirable in production source.
Use deterministic output for repeatable tests
A fixed seed or stable generation rule is helpful when comparing screenshots, CSS changes or component regressions because the text stays constant while the layout changes.
Test realistic extremes after the placeholder pass
Real content includes short headings, long unbroken strings, links, numbers, non-Latin scripts and empty states. Use lorem ipsum as a baseline, then test those edge cases before considering a responsive layout complete.
Do not publish filler as value content
Placeholder paragraphs are not a substitute for real explanations, documentation or user-facing copy. Remove generated filler from public pages unless the product explicitly needs sample text as part of its function.
