Multi Stopwatch

Create labeled stopwatches, start or pause them independently or together, mark times, save the local workspace, and copy or export a summary.

Each stopwatch is independent. Browser-local restoration uses the device wall clock across reloads, so this is convenient timing rather than certified race/lab timing.

How to use this Multi Stopwatch

Add several labeled stopwatches and start, pause, reset, or mark them independently. Start/Pause all is useful when several participants or activities begin together, and the board is restored locally.

Timing accuracy and persistence limits

Cross-reload restoration uses the device wall clock, while visible updates use browser timing. This is a convenience utility for parallel activities, not certified race, scientific, or legal timing equipment.

Practical guide and verification

Use the tool first, then apply these checks to verify the inputs, interpret the result, and hand it off without displacing the primary workflow.

Name timers before starting a multi-event session

Several unlabeled stopwatches become difficult to reconcile after the fact. Give each one a task, participant, machine, or process label before starting. A meaningful label makes copied summaries and CSV exports usable without relying on memory of which row represented which event.

Use one precision level consistently

Seconds and hundredths answer different timing needs. Switching precision during a comparison can make measurements look more exact without improving the underlying observation. Choose a precision appropriate to human reaction time and the event duration, then keep it consistent across the stopwatches you intend to compare.

Treat browser timers as elapsed-time tools, not certified instruments

Modern browser timing can be useful for ordinary tasks, but operating-system scheduling, background-tab throttling, sleep, device load, and display refresh affect interaction timing. For sports records, scientific calibration, billing, or safety-critical timing, use equipment and procedures designed for that purpose.

Export before clearing a completed board

Once a session matters, copy the summary or export CSV before resetting or clearing all timers. Record the date, labels, and any pauses or interruptions that change interpretation. An elapsed time without the event context is difficult to audit later even when the number itself is preserved exactly.
