Use descriptive context first, choose the method that matches the design, then keep inputs, settings and result evidence reproducible instead of copying a p-value without its analysis recipe.

Contribution ledger & target-weight reverse solve

Treat weighted average as a contribution problem. Enter value/weight rows, normalize percentages when needed, inspect each weighted contribution, and solve what value a new weighted item would need to hit a target average.

A target reverse solve is only meaningful when the new weight is positive. Percentage labels do not require the existing rows to sum to exactly 100 because the ratio is normalized by total weight.

Interpret statistical results in context

Use plots and descriptive summaries before formal tests. Check the sampling/design assumptions that matter for the chosen method, report effect size and uncertainty where available, and avoid treating a threshold such as p < .05 as proof of importance, causation, or truth.
