Word changes preserve spacing and punctuation context
Word tokens, punctuation and whitespace remain aligned while inserted/deleted tokens become navigable changes instead of an undifferentiated colored stream.
Highlight word-level additions and deletions locally while preserving spacing and punctuation tokens.
Comparison runs locally in your browser. Interactive diff uses a bounded token count to avoid locking the page on extremely large inputs.
Compare text by line, word or character with ignore-case and whitespace options, similarity statistics and copy-ready change summaries.

Word mode is useful for prose edits, line mode for configuration and structured text, and character mode for small spelling or punctuation changes. Switching modes can change the apparent amount of change even when the underlying documents are identical.
Ignore-case and whitespace normalization are useful when those differences are irrelevant, but they can hide meaningful edits in code, identifiers or data. Record the normalization settings with the report so another reviewer can reproduce the comparison.
A high similarity score can still contain one important changed number, name or operator. Read the actual insertions and deletions before accepting a merge, especially for contracts, configuration, source code or data transformations.
A diff view is evidence of change, not an automatic conflict resolver. Keep the original and modified text until the intended version has been verified, particularly when multiple editors or automated formatters may have touched the same content.
Compare a short pair where one word, one space and one capitalization differ. Predict which differences should remain under the selected options, then confirm the output. This catches a mistaken comparison mode before reviewing a large document.
