Use the finder as a candidate filter, not a board solver

Rack letters and blanks narrow the word list, but a legal move also depends on board geometry, cross-words, occupied squares, premium squares, and the exact dictionary/rule set in use. Recheck any candidate against the current game board before relying on the base tile score.

Treat displayed score as a base-letter score unless stated otherwise

Premium letter and word squares, existing board letters, bingo-style bonuses, and cross-word points can change the actual move value. Use the tool’s score to compare rack-built candidates, then calculate the board-specific score separately for the move you are considering.

Check blanks and dictionary version carefully

A blank can stand for a letter but normally contributes different point value from a printed tile. Word lists also vary by edition and regional rule set. Confirm the rules used in your game before assuming every listed candidate is accepted or scored identically.

Use start/end/contains filters to explain the search

When a result set is large, apply one constraint at a time and note the remaining count. This makes it easier to see whether a missing word was excluded by rack letters, length, prefix/suffix, contained letters, or score threshold rather than treating the tool as a black box.
