Grade Calculator

Add assignments or categories with percentage scores and course weights. See the normalized grade on completed work, points already earned toward the final course grade, remaining weight, target feasibility, contribution breakdown, copy and CSV export.

Assignment / categoryScore %Course weight %Contribution

A normalized current grade divides earned weighted points by the weight entered. Your official gradebook may treat ungraded work, category normalization, drops, curves, extra credit, and rounding differently.

Match the gradebook model before trusting the target

Separate question-count tests, pure points, weighted categories, final-exam weighting and GPA scales. Then reconcile the calculator with the syllabus rule actually used by the class.

How to use this Grade Calculator

Add the assignments or syllabus categories that have grades so far. The headline normalizes the weighted points over the weight entered, while “weighted points earned” shows how many percentage points those items already contribute toward the final 100-point course grade. Use the target and remaining-work controls only for a scenario where that remaining weight is still ungraded.

Assumptions and limits

Weights and grading policies vary by course. A current normalized grade can differ from the gradebook when the instructor treats missing work as zero, renormalizes categories differently, drops scores, curves grades, or uses extra credit. Match the entered weights and assumptions to the syllabus.
