The sanitizer removes obvious active SVG content but is not claimed as a complete hostile-file security boundary.

Complete favicon install package

Keep the SVG editor above as the source of truth, then generate browser fallbacks, Apple/PWA icons, an ICO, a web manifest and ready-to-paste head markup locally.

Ready.

Explicit icon-tool scope

SVG favicon output is sanitized and normalized locally. Keep raster/ICO fallbacks because platform support and small-size rendering vary.

Browser-local processing

Prepare scalable favicon.svg markup locally and pair it with raster/ICO fallbacks for broad coverage. Artwork and selected files remain in this browser session.

Use this result with confidence

A modern favicon is a package, not only one SVG file

An SVG favicon is sharp and compact in modern browsers, but a production site often also needs raster fallbacks, an ICO file, an Apple touch icon, PWA icons, a web manifest, and head markup. Keep the SVG as the source of truth, then generate the compatibility files from that same artwork so visual identity stays consistent across browser tabs, bookmarks, home screens, and installed apps.

Inspect the design at tiny raster sizes

Artwork that looks clear at 512 pixels can become unreadable at 16 or 32 pixels. Thin strokes, small text, and subtle color differences disappear quickly. Review the generated 16, 32, 48, and 96 pixel outputs rather than assuming the vector source guarantees legibility. Simplify the icon if the core silhouette is no longer recognizable at tab size.

Manifest and head markup are deployment instructions

A generated site.webmanifest and favicon-head snippet still need to be deployed at the paths they reference. If your site uses a subdirectory, CDN, framework asset pipeline, or hashed filenames, adjust the URLs deliberately. A correct local package cannot confirm that production files are crawlable, cached correctly, or reachable from the final HTML after deployment.

Search and platform display remain outside the generator

Browsers, mobile operating systems, and search engines can cache icons and apply their own display rules. A package can provide appropriate dimensions and declarations, but it cannot guarantee when a third-party surface refreshes or which icon it chooses. After deployment, test direct asset URLs, inspect the final head markup, and allow for external caching behavior.
