A smaller payment does not always mean lower total cost. Compare interest and payoff time as well.

What this calculator assumes

Existing debts are modeled independently using the exact fixed monthly payment entered for each balance; freed-up payments are not automatically rolled onto other debts. Both existing and new loans use a simplified monthly APR ÷ 12 interest model with interest rounded to cents each month. Payments occur at month end, and payoff is capped at 50 years. Lender statements may use daily accrual, changing minimums, promotional offers or different fee bases.

Savings = interest on your existing debts − (interest on the proposed loan + the full origination fee). A financed fee increases the new principal; an upfront fee is treated as a separate immediate cash expense. The payoff term is illustrative, not a lender offer. The calculator does not access your accounts or transmit debt values to an external loan service; check the site's general privacy policy for any page-level analytics.

If you have trouble meeting minimum payments, a nonprofit credit counselor may help review options. Consolidation is not necessarily beneficial when your APR is higher, fees are substantial or a longer term adds interest.

Compare assumptions, not offers

Results are deterministic browser-local math from the values you enter. They are useful for scenario comparison, but they are not a lender quote, approval decision, investment forecast, credit recommendation, or substitute for an account agreement.
