The generated order is a cryptographic shuffle of the entered rows. Duplicate visible names remain separate rows; remove accidental duplicates before generating when identity matters.

Freeze the participant list before the draw

Randomness cannot compensate for an incorrect roster. Remove accidental duplicates, decide how co-managers or teams are represented, and let participants review the final names before generating an order. Save the exact input list with the result so a later dispute is about the same population.

Define the reroll rule in advance

A reroll can be fair mathematically yet unfair procedurally if it is allowed only after someone dislikes the result. Decide before the draw which technical failures justify starting over, and record whether a completed order is final once displayed.

Distinguish transparency from predictability

A browser can use a cryptographically strong random source without revealing or storing a reproducible seed. If the group needs a fully auditable deterministic draw, use a process designed around a committed seed or public randomness source rather than claiming that an ordinary reroll button provides replayable proof.
