Conversion verification

Inspect the active unit pair, formula or exact definition, displayed result and reverse-check evidence. This verification layer reads the current tool state and does not replace the converter itself.

Absolute temperature vs temperature difference

A temperature and a change in temperature do not use the same formula. Switch between absolute values and deltas so the 32°F offset is applied only when it belongs, with Rankine included for an absolute-scale cross-check.

Absolute Kelvin and Rankine cannot be negative. Delta mode intentionally ignores additive offsets: Δ1°C = Δ1 K and Δ1°F = Δ1°R.

How to use this Temperature Converter

Convert Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, or Rankine from either side and compare all four scales.

Definitions and conversion limits

Temperature scales have offsets, so one-unit ratios are context-dependent. Inputs below absolute zero are rejected.
