Coordinate Bounding Box Calculator

Calculate a WGS84 bounding box from a center and radius or a coordinate list, with dateline-aware GIS exports.

Coordinate calculations run locally in your browser. Great-circle distance, bearing, midpoint, destination, and radius tools use a spherical Earth model (mean radius 6,371,008.8 m), so survey-grade ellipsoidal/geodesic results can differ slightly.

Build a geographic bbox you can verify and reuse

Calculate bounds around a center and radius or paste multiple WGS84 coordinates. The workstation finds a minimal longitude interval, flags antimeridian crossing, visualizes the extent, and creates copy-ready GIS/API formats.

Copy-ready outputs

Calculating the sample extent…
Coordinate and projection boundary. Inputs and outputs are WGS84 longitude/latitude degrees. The center-radius workflow uses the same spherical Earth model as the existing calculator. Width, height and area are geographic estimates, not survey-grade projected measurements. When a minimal bbox crosses ±180°, the GeoJSON/WKT export is split so the shape does not incorrectly span the whole world.

Keep coordinate conventions explicit

Latitude/longitude order, hemisphere, datum and precision can all change the interpreted location. WebToolArc keeps WGS84 assumptions visible and separates conversion math from geocoding.

Verify before reuse

A formatted coordinate can look plausible while being swapped, rounded too aggressively or interpreted in the wrong system. Decode or open a map link before importing important points elsewhere.
