Morse Code Character Counter

See how much Morse signal a text phrase produces before copying or generating audio.

Runs locally in your browser. International Morse timing follows the ITU 1-dot / 3-dot / 7-dot spacing relationships. WPM timing uses the conventional PARIS reference (dot = 1200/WPM ms).

Transmission budget & character cost profile

Turn the existing Morse count into an operating budget. The review separates keyed tone from spacing, applies character/Farnsworth speed, and ranks the actual symbols in the message by repeat count and Morse-unit cost.

—Spacing time
—Estimated total

Ready.

Timing is derived from the same International Morse/PARIS engine already used by the core counter. The budget is a planning estimate, not transmitter calibration.

Count what transmission actually costs

Supported/unsupported characters, dots, dashes, words, signal units and estimated transmission time are calculated from the same Morse engine and selected timing profile.

International Morse boundary

WebToolArc follows ITU-R M.1677-1 for the International Morse alphabet and the 1-dot / 3-dot / 7-dot spacing relationships. Common extensions are labeled separately, and learning-oriented Farnsworth spacing changes gaps without changing dit/dah character speed.
