Morse Code Normalizer

Convert common bullet/dash glyphs to . and -, collapse spacing, and standardize word boundaries to slash separators.

ITU-R M.1677-11:3:7 timingFarnsworth readyLocal audio/WAV

Runs locally in your browser. International Morse timing follows the ITU 1-dot / 3-dot / 7-dot spacing relationships. WPM timing uses the conventional PARIS reference (dot = 1200/WPM ms).

Separator policy & normalization audit

Normalize pasted Unicode dots/dashes and spacing without hiding what changed. Choose the input word-boundary rule and the exact separator style needed by another decoder, worksheet or copied message, then inspect every resulting token.

—Boundary candidates
—Output tokens
—Unknown patterns
Ready.

The audit never invents a letter from an unknown dot-dash group. Output-separator formatting happens after canonical normalization, so the Morse tokens themselves stay unchanged.

Normalization without inventing word gaps

Explicit / boundaries remain authoritative. Three-or-more spaces can optionally be treated as a word separator; two accidental spaces collapse to one letter separator instead of silently becoming a new word.

International Morse boundary

WebToolArc follows ITU-R M.1677-1 for the International Morse alphabet and the 1-dot / 3-dot / 7-dot spacing relationships. Common extensions are labeled separately, and learning-oriented Farnsworth spacing changes gaps without changing dit/dah character speed.
