OKLCH Color Converter

Explore perceptual OKLCH lightness, chroma, and hue values and convert them to sRGB HEX.

ReadysRGB output is clipped when an OKLCH color falls outside the sRGB gamut.

OKLCH Converter: Gamut, Fallback & Contrast Audit

Inspect OKLCH with sRGB gamut evidence, clipped fallback RGB/HEX, luminance and white or black contrast ratios.

Quick-win verification depth

Color and accessibility boundaries

HEX/RGB/HSL/HSV/OKLCH conversions are numerical color-model operations. CMYK output is an RGB-derived approximation rather than ICC-profiled print proofing. WCAG contrast ratios measure luminance contrast only and do not certify a full interface. Color-blindness previews are design simulations, not medical tests.

Practical guide and verification

Use the tool first, then apply these checks to verify the inputs, interpret the result, and hand it off without displacing the primary workflow.

Check gamut after conversion

An OKLCH coordinate can describe a color outside the gamut of a target display or output space. If the tool reports clipping or conversion to sRGB, keep that fact with the fallback value instead of treating the clipped hex code as an exact equivalent.

Compare perceptual changes at constant lightness

OKLCH is useful because lightness, chroma and hue are separated more intuitively than in many RGB workflows. When building a ramp, change one dimension at a time and inspect the resulting colors on the actual interface rather than relying only on numeric spacing.

Verify contrast with the rendered fallback

Accessibility contrast is evaluated from the colors that are actually rendered. If a browser falls back or gamut-maps an OKLCH value, test the resulting foreground/background pair rather than calculating against an unsupported source coordinate.

Preserve both modern and fallback declarations when required

Support expectations vary by browser and embedded environment. If compatibility matters, retain the tested fallback color alongside the OKLCH declaration and verify cascade order in the production stylesheet.
