Connected browser-local PDF workflow
v10.84 connects page organization, merge/split, rotation/deletion/extraction, conversion, compression, annotation, forms, metadata, page sizing, N-up/booklet/poster printing, comparison, and repeated header/footer work without replacing the established historical PDF engines.
PDF processing boundaries
These tools operate within browser memory and the capabilities of pdf-lib/pdf.js and the existing local engines. Encrypted, malformed, scanned, XFA, unusual forms, complex signatures, OCR-dependent documents, and advanced desktop-editor features can require specialist software. Always verify generated files before discarding the source.
How to use the PDF Compressor
Choose Preserve structure or a raster profile. For a size goal, enter an optional KB/MB target and let the browser try progressively smaller raster settings, then compare the actual result before downloading.
What happens to your PDF
Compare source and output bytes, choose the quality tradeoff explicitly, and keep the original until you verify the result.
Practical limits
A structure rewrite may save little. Raster compression can remove selectable text, links, forms, vector sharpness, accessibility structure, and other semantics. Target-size mode is best effort, not an exact-byte guarantee.
